Position Summary

We are seeking a Janitor responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated areas within a building or at multiple client locations. Candidates should be adaptable as job duties may vary depending on client requirements.

Working Hours & Compensation

The schedule is Monday through Sunday, from 6 AM to 11 AM, totaling approximately 35 hours weekly. The pay rate is $12 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Utilize chemical cleaning agents and powered equipment correctly to avoid damage.
• Clean and upkeep restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrances.
• Manage waste disposal including trash removal and compactor use where applicable.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper materials.
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks.
• Restock paper and sanitary products regularly.
• Adhere to scheduled housekeeping routines.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment occasionally, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Perform other duties assigned in accordance with the scope and client needs.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent certification, or a minimum of six months experience in a janitorial role.
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial services.
• Understanding of custodial procedures and commercial cleaning standards.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facility maintenance is advantageous.
