Job description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager specializing in the Cards domain to join our Qatar operations. This role focuses on overseeing complex IT projects related to Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Prepaid Cards, ePayments, and associated regulatory and card scheme initiatives within the banking and financial services industry.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead end-to-end project delivery, working closely with business stakeholders, IT departments, vendors, card schemes, compliance teams, and other internal groups to ensure that projects meet scope, timeline, budget, quality, and governance requirements.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Between 8 to 10 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within banking, financial services, cards, payments, or digital banking sectors.
- PMP certification is required or highly favored.
- Proven track record managing complete IT project lifecycles including planning, execution, monitoring, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, vendor relations, and project closure.
- Familiarity with structured governance models involving comprehensive documentation, reporting, escalation protocols, and change management processes.
Cards and Banking Domain Expertise
- Strong knowledge of tokenization, PCI DSS compliance, ePayments, digital wallets, and payment processing workflows.
- Understanding of card schemes, certificates, regulatory mandates, and compliance standards.
- Excellent stakeholder and vendor management along with effective communication abilities.
- Competence in managing project risks, dependencies, change requests, issues, and escalations.
- Strong analytical, planning, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in banking IT operations.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with senior executives, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners.
- Robust problem-solving aptitude paired with a structured and proactive approach to project delivery.
