Job description
Role Overview
The IT Coordinator provides foundational technical support and undertakes maintenance and repair tasks for various property-based and above-property technology systems across multiple units. Operating under clear guidelines and supervision, this role focuses on delivering first and some second-level support to ensure technology reliability and efficiency within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, installations, and maintenance of all technology systems both within the property and at above-property levels.
- Adhere strictly to company policies including Incident and Safety Management Systems (ISMs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Marriott guidelines.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive company information.
- Address service requests from guests and provide assistance to employees in a professional manner.
- Communicate clearly and courteously, including proper telephone etiquette.
- Act as a role model and serve as the initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships to support teamwork and help achieve collective goals.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Physically manage tasks involving lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs or ramps as necessary.
- Use computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems to enter and retrieve information effectively.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Educational background including a university or college degree or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of two years’ relevant work experience in IT support or related fields.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
