Role Overview
UBS is seeking skilled Investment Consultants to join its Wealth Management APAC team based in Singapore, focusing on Advisory & Sales within the Greater China sector. The role entails offering comprehensive, client-centered investment guidance that encompasses diverse asset classes and markets, while leveraging UBS’s global capabilities for client benefit.
Key Duties
- Collaborate closely with Client Advisers to provide tailored, holistic investment advice aligned with clients’ portfolios.
- Lead portfolio strategy development and asset allocation by engaging clients with timely updates, performing regular portfolio reviews, and ensuring alignment with Chief Investment Office perspectives while respecting individual client risk tolerance and preferences.
- Guarantee compliance with investment suitability standards before making recommendations, execute trades promptly and precisely, and continuously monitor portfolios after trades.
- Work in conjunction with the Chief Investment Office and product teams to offer the comprehensive range of UBS’s investment products and trading services.
- Participate actively in internal discussions to contribute investment concepts, enhance market insights, and support product pitching initiatives.
- Promote an environment of continuous education, knowledge exchange, and professional growth within the team.
Team Environment
The Investment Consultant operates within a dynamic multi-asset sales and advisory group that prioritizes delivering CIO-focused investment solutions swiftly and efficiently to clients.
Candidate Profile
- Holds an advanced degree in finance; CFA accreditation is advantageous.
- Expertise in at least one asset class or product area such as equities, fixed income, forex, structured products, derivatives, or alternative investments.
- Exhibits strong self-motivation, adaptability, and the capacity to work autonomously in high-pressure, demanding circumstances.
- Demonstrates excellent presentation skills when engaging with clients and advisers, with a keen understanding of client sensitivities particularly within family office or ultra-high-net-worth segments.
- Customer-focused with outstanding communication abilities.
- Proficient in English and business-level Mandarin to effectively serve Greater China clients.
- Possesses persistence and drive essential for success given the role’s complexities and volume.
- Interested in leveraging artificial intelligence thoughtfully to enhance workflow building, delivery, and optimization, ensuring alignment with risk standards and ethical guidelines.
