About the Role

This position in Singapore at UBS involves providing expert FX and Commodities sales and advisory services as part of the Unified Global Markets team within the Investment Bank. The role focuses on delivering investment coverage to client advisors, recommending FX and Commodities ideas from cash products through to derivatives, and helping penetrate these markets within Wealth Management clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide investment advisory support to a country team of client advisors by recommending FX and Commodities ideas, including cash and derivative solutions.
• Drive market penetration and traction of FX and Commodities offerings among Wealth Management clients.
• Communicate complex concepts effectively through verbal and written channels, covering topics such as macroeconomic conditions, product payoffs, and risk analysis involving non-linear factors.
• Assist clients in managing market risks by leveraging insights and strategies related to FX and Commodities.

Team Overview

You will be part of the FX Client Advisory Solutions team based in Singapore, operating under the Investment Bank’s Unified Global Markets group. This team provides market education and actionable investment advice aligned with the Chief Investment Office’s guidance to Wealth Management client advisors and their clients, focusing on high-net-worth, ultra-high-net-worth, and family office segments. Execution services will cover FX products such as spot, forwards, derivatives, and structured products.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree is required, with postgraduate qualifications viewed favorably.
• 8 to 10 years of professional experience in FX and Commodities markets, specifically in sales or dealing within an investment or private banking environment.
• In-depth knowledge of FX product suites including spot, forwards, swaps, derivatives, and structured forwards.
• Sound awareness of risks associated with FX and Commodities contracts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese, with business fluency in Mandarin considered an advantage.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex economic variables and seize market opportunities.
• Experience with margin trading in relevant markets.
• Demonstrated passion for FX and Commodities advisory work and career commitment in this sector.

• Self-driven, performing well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
