About the Company and Role

Our client is a well-established and diverse investment and financial services group with a strategic emphasis on discovering and developing businesses throughout Asia. Their operations span several key domains including private equity, principal investments, asset management, financial advisory, and capital markets. They are seeking motivated Investment Analysts to become part of their expanding Asset Management team, focusing on regional markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research and perform detailed analysis on specific industries, sectors, companies, and financial markets to identify emerging market trends and investment opportunities.
• Keep track of macroeconomic trends, market fluctuations, industry movements, and regulatory updates that could impact investment approaches.
• Assist the investment team in originating deals and sourcing opportunities by identifying promising companies, investment themes, and transactional possibilities.
• Carry out initial evaluation and screening of investment prospects based on market appeal, core business factors, financial health, and growth potential.
• Compile comprehensive industry reports, sector briefings, market intelligence updates, and investment research documents for internal use.
• Create investment analyses and presentations on industry forecasts, competitive environment, market sizing, company profiles, and critical investment points.
• Provide support in financial modeling, valuation assessments, and development of investment cases as needed.
• Work closely with senior investment personnel on investment projects, due diligence, and development of materials for investment committee review.
• Maintain an active network of industry contacts, research resources, and market intelligence avenues to bolster continuous investment origination efforts.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or institution.
• Between three to seven years of relevant work experience in investment or research roles, preferably within fund management, private banking, corporate finance advisory, or sell-side research environments.
• Proven proficiency in preparing written analytical documents such as information memoranda, sector reports, and investment recommendations.
