Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - Large-Scale Housing Development

Company Overview

A prominent Irish construction firm is recruiting an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a significant residential project in Cork. As Phase 2 of a major €90-100 million development is about to start, this role offers a chance to join a well-established project team and be integral to delivering one of the largest housing schemes in the region.

Role Summary

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, your duties will encompass full commercial oversight of the project. Your responsibilities include managing the procurement of subcontractors, handling valuations, overseeing variations, conducting cost reporting, and preparing final accounts. You will collaborate closely with site and project managers to ensure that commercial goals are met, while fostering strong relationships with both clients and subcontractors.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Experience gained within a main contractor or developer environment.
• Excellent commercial acumen and proven skills in cost management.
• Competency in managing subcontractor packages effectively.
• Prior experience on residential projects is considered a strong advantage.
