Role Summary
Based in Napier or Gisborne, this role suits a Civil Engineer seeking career growth and involvement in expanding the client base. You will be supported by experienced engineers and engage in the full project lifecycle, from proposals and client engagement to detailed design and budget oversight. The role values confidence combined with a readiness to learn and collaborate across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design civil infrastructure including small to large subdivisions throughout all project stages.
- Plan and design roading and pavement systems.
- Develop stormwater and wastewater reticulation systems.
- Conduct stormwater hydraulic neutrality design and flood risk assessments.
- Deliver reporting and site monitoring activities.
- Perform simple structural designs including retaining walls, MSE walls, foundation works, and coastal revetments.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.
- Possesses at least four years of experience working in New Zealand, with exposure to consultancy projects.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS is advantageous.
- Demonstrates resilience and adaptability, maintaining progress despite challenges.
- Communicates complex technical information clearly to clients, contractors, and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Reliable team player able to collaborate effectively.
