Role Summary
We are seeking a driven Intermediate C++ Software Engineer to strengthen our engineering team. In this role, you will help design and develop fundamental software that powers autonomous vehicle platforms. You will independently manage your projects and modules, collaborating closely with experienced peers across the entire software development process.
Key Duties
- Create, test, and refine software applications tailored for autonomous vehicles.
- Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ code by adhering to best engineering standards.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to seamlessly integrate software into hardware systems.
- Engage in peer code reviews fostering a robust engineering culture.
- Analyze and optimize code for enhanced performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Manage code repositories, build environments, and development workflows effectively using Git and related tools.
- Own specific software components and projects, ensuring quality delivery.
- Keep updated with the latest technologies, tools, and industry advancements.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Possesses between 2 to 5 years of professional C++ software development experience.
- Experience in robotics, aerospace, autonomous systems, or real-time software is advantageous.
- Demonstrates strong grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design methodologies.
- Familiar with version control systems such as Git.
- Exhibits excellent problem-solving capabilities and keen attention to detail.
- Communicates effectively and works cooperatively within a team-oriented environment.
- Shows enthusiasm for robotics, autonomous vehicles, and cutting-edge technologies.
- Experienced with development in Linux environments.
- Has worked with Python, Robot Operating System (ROS), or embedded system programming.
- Knowledgeable about continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, automated testing, and containerization tools like Docker.
