Interior Designer

About the Role

Cedars Trading & Contracting W.L.L. seeks a talented and meticulous Interior Designer to join their team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will balance artistic interior design flair with practical expertise in costing and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Create interior design concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings tailored for both residential and commercial projects.
• Develop design presentations encompassing material choices and comprehensive project specifications.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), conduct quantity measurements, and formulate project quotations.
• Engage and coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and onsite teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Inspect materials and finishes to verify compliance with approved design standards.
• Carry out site visits, maintaining rigorous quality control and monitoring installation processes.
• Collaborate closely with production, joinery, and fit-out teams for design integration.
• Support project costing, material estimates, and quotation drafting to maintain budget accuracy.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with approved designs, specifications, and scheduled timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working on interior design, fit-out, furniture, or joinery projects.
• In-depth understanding of Quantity Surveying, BOQ generation, quantity take-offs, and cost analysis.
• Skilled in preparing quotations and estimating project costs accurately.
• Comprehensive knowledge of materials, finishes, specifications, and quality assurance procedures.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D visualization software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with the interior design and fit-out industry in Qatar is advantageous.
