Intelligence Analyst I

About the Role

We are seeking an inquisitive, self-motivated, and adaptable analyst to join our 24/7 Threat Detection Intelligence Center located in Singapore. The successful candidate will demonstrate calmness under pressure, swiftly evaluate and verify emerging information, filter genuine threats from irrelevant noise, and communicate clear, concise intelligence reports. Strong skills in open-source research and report writing are essential, along with comfort in tracking multiple fast-changing events. The role requires working a schedule including at least one weekend day and public holidays, and collaborating with global teams across different time zones. Prior experience in intelligence, security, risk analysis, or journalism is highly valued. Proficiency in foreign languages and familiarity with AI, geospatial, web-scraping, and source validation tools are advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates holding a relevant bachelor’s degree, especially in Political Science or International Relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor global real-time events and emerging threats using open-source materials, including local language news and online platforms.
• Quickly assess, verify, and prioritize incoming raw information to identify potential risks for clients.
• Distinguish between situations that need immediate escalation and those requiring ongoing observation.
• Compose brief, precise, and well-referenced intelligence alerts to aid client risk management.
• Handle multiple concurrent developing events accurately under stringent deadlines.
• Ensure clear and comprehensive handovers on ambiguous or evolving situations during shift changes and across time zones.
• Utilize AI, geospatial, and web-scraping technologies to enhance research, monitoring, and report generation processes.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Collaboration

You will be part of the Singapore Threat Detection Intelligence Center, reporting to the Manager of Threat Intelligence there. The role involves close cooperation with analysts and managers within our worldwide 24/7 Threat Detection network for comprehensive event monitoring, shift coordination, and smooth handovers. Collaboration will also extend to the Strategic and Operational Intelligence teams at Crisis24 to ensure verified, consistent intelligence across the global function.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in disciplines like Political Science, International Relations, Security Studies, or Intelligence Studies.
• Sharp analytical capability to assess, corroborate, and prioritize data from diverse sources.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills to produce clear intelligence reports and articulate judgments promptly.
• Proven expertise in open-source intelligence research and validation, capable of separating credible findings from misinformation.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational proficiency to juggle multiple reporting threads simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate across an international team and facilitate clear shift handovers.
• Flexibility to work a full-time rotating schedule that includes weekends and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• A master’s degree in a related field.
• Professional background in intelligence, security, risk management, analysis, journalism, or comparable areas.
• Foreign language skills.
• Experience employing geospatial, AI, and web-scraping tools for intelligence gathering and monitoring.
• Experience tracking and validating fast-developing or breaking news events.
