Integrated Planning & Schedule Program Manager - Data Center

Overview

Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) supports Microsoft's global cloud infrastructure. The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) team spearheads large-scale data center programs worldwide to sustain cloud service growth. This role, part of the EPC Central Team, is vital for managing and refining Plan of Record (POR) schedules from design through deployment, ensuring realistic planning and efficient execution with data-driven decisions.

As a trusted expert in project scheduling, you will apply industry standards like Critical Path Method (CPM) and risk insights to create integrated, high-quality schedules. Working with diverse stakeholders, you will validate task sequencing, enforce scheduling governance, and enhance predictability via scenario modeling and analytics.

The EPC team’s success relies on collaborative cross-functional efforts, proactive risk control, and disciplined execution across multiple global regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive global schedule planning efforts to enhance quality, consistency, and governance of EPC Project Controls programs in collaboration with estimating, cost, risk, and regional planning teams.
• Provide expert guidance on Primavera P6 EPPM usage and integrated master scheduling, ensuring alignment with project estimates and portfolio benchmarking.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to develop cutting-edge reporting, translate complex schedule data into actionable insights, and support key performance indicators for schedule health and control.
• Lead change management by documenting assumptions, contributing to risk analyses, and maintaining procedures that elevate planning maturity across EPC.
• Engage regularly with senior leadership to communicate strategic planning insights and maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout the project controls organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or related discipline coupled with relevant program management, project controls, or scheduling experience.
• Proven track record managing sophisticated and large-scale project schedules.
• Experience overseeing hyperscale data center initiatives across multiple geographies and business units.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 EPPM and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication and technical writing skills, including presenting to directors and senior management.
• Background in developing and implementing governance and procedural frameworks.
• Experience creating training and onboarding programs for technical teams.

Additional Information

This role accommodates a hybrid working model, allowing up to three remote workdays weekly with the option for full remote work. Locations include Dublin, Milan, Amsterdam, or London based on business requirements.

Security clearance, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check, is mandatory upon hire and biennially thereafter.

Typical annual salary ranges in local currencies are as follows: Ireland (€77,400 - €130,000), Netherlands (€78,800 - €133,300), Italy (€59,000 - €101,000), and the United Kingdom (£74,700 - £122,600), with eligibility for benefits and additional compensation.
