Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Insurance Manager to administer the Group’s insurance activities and commercial risk management processes. The successful candidate will handle insurance coverage, claims management, policy renewals, risk evaluation, and insurance requirements for projects. Close collaboration with brokers, insurers, underwriters, and key business stakeholders will be crucial for ensuring efficient and cost-effective risk protection throughout the Group.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily insurance activities across all business segments, following established guidelines and policies.
• Perform risk evaluations to confirm adequate insurance coverage for assets.
• Manage annual renewal processes for insurance policies, including administration, amendments, additions, and deletions.
• Lead the process of claims reporting and settlement coordination with insurers and loss assessors.
• Compile and sustain reports concerning losses, loss ratios, and annual insurance performance analysis.
• Manage underwriting requirements and uphold compliance with insurance regulations and standards.
• Analyze insurance data to optimize insurance coverage while controlling costs.
• Maintain high standards in managing Insurance Operations related to commercial risks.
• Build and sustain productive relationships with insurance providers, underwriters, and claims administrators.
• Assess and review project contracts, tender documents, and insurance conditions.
• Coordinate and manage lender-mandated contracts and insurance demands such as CTA, PPA, EPC, FA, CA, and others.
• Assist in reviewing and drafting insurance schedules within contracts.
• Liaise effectively with brokers, consultants, and Loss Insurance Adjusters on various insurance matters.
• Coordinate insurance requirements for projects including, but not limited to, CAR/DSU, Marine DSU, SPPI, CPM insurances.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 8 years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in insurance.
• Previous work experience in GCC countries is beneficial.
• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Professional insurance certifications such as CII, CILA, or III are required.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance claims processes, procurement procedures, and knowledge of local insurance markets.
• Experience collaborating with insurance markets, underwriters, and claims management teams.
• Familiarity with insurance-related laws, regulations, standards, and legal obligations.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP functional knowledge, is mandatory.
• Aware of regional geopolitical issues is considered an advantage.
• Exhibits strong leadership qualities, resilience, agility, commitment to quality, and competencies in risk management.
• Experience handling lender-driven projects and their specific insurance necessities, including various contract types and insurance schedules.
• Proven experience in managing project-related insurance policies and reinsurance arrangements.
