Role Overview
The Installer will work full-time on-site in County Dublin, Ireland, responsible for assembling and fitting office furniture and fittings precisely as per specifications. Daily duties include interpreting floor plans and layout blueprints, managing deliveries, moving and positioning furniture, and collaborating closely with project managers and designers to adhere to project schedules.
The role entails the use of hand and power tools with a firm emphasis on safety, maintaining a clean and orderly workspace, and conducting quality assessments to ensure the standards of installation are met. The Installer will engage professionally with customers at their locations, resolve minor issues as they arise, and escalate any installation difficulties or defects to the relevant teams as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in furniture assembly, fixture installation, and safe operation of hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical installation drawings, floor plans, and related instructions with exceptional attention to detail.
- Physical fitness sufficient to lift, carry, and maneuver furniture and materials in line with workplace safety standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple installations while meeting deadlines and keeping work areas tidy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities to coordinate with project managers, designers, coworkers, and customers respectfully.
- Adherence to health and safety protocols, including compliance with site rules and correct manual handling practices.
- Previous background in furniture installation, shop fitting, carpentry, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Possession of a full driving license and reliable transportation within County Dublin or neighboring regions is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work on various customer sites and adapt to evolving project needs.
