Position Overview
At AtkinsRéalis, we are looking for an experienced Civil Architectural Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This position is key in verifying the quality and ensuring all architectural projects comply with relevant standards and regulations. The role demands meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining high construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections of civil architectural works to verify adherence to design, codes, and regulations.
- Examine architectural drawings and blueprints to detect potential discrepancies or issues.
- Observe construction progress and workmanship quality, flagging deviations from authorized plans.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and construction personnel to resolve on-site challenges.
- Keep detailed records and prepare thorough reports on inspection outcomes.
- Advise construction teams on best practices and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Conduct site inspections at multiple phases to ensure project timelines and standards are met.
- Engage in meetings with stakeholders to relay updates, suggestions, and solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or an allied discipline.
- Extensive experience of 8–10 years within architectural inspection or similar roles in construction or consultancy sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry benchmarks in civil architecture.
- Excellent analytical ability and a keen eye for detail to identify and address problems efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities to facilitate teamwork across diverse groups.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques, tools, and relevant software applications.
- Capable of managing multiple projects autonomously.
- Willingness to travel to various sites and work during evenings or weekends when necessary.
