Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced full-time Infrastructure Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This role focuses on supporting internal business units by developing shared engineering services and tools that enhance operational success. You will collaborate across various organizational teams to understand needs and deliver projects that and improve processes. Key tasks include enhancing observability, improving continuous deployment pipelines, maintaining cloud infrastructure through infrastructure as code, and automating upgrades of managed services and virtual machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within the engineering team to design, develop, test, and document foundational software components.
- Take ownership of operational services by enhancing observability, participating in incident management, and addressing customer escalations.
- Evaluate and optimize efficiency, scalability, and reliability of system resources.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), secrets management, infrastructure as code, and observability practices.
- Familiarity with distributed systems architecture.
- Proven operation of managed cloud services, preferably on AWS.
- Knowledge of running Kubernetes in a production environment is advantageous.
- Understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing and routing.
- Proficiency or experience with the Go programming language is a plus.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback, as well as work independently and flexibly in a startup setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
