Information Technology Operations Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned IT Operations Officer to join our team supporting IT and Data Center Operations within a 24/7 shift-based framework. This position plays a critical role in infrastructure and application surveillance, backup management, incident response, troubleshooting, alert escalation, and guaranteeing the continuous availability and stability of IT services.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee IT operations and Data Center infrastructure across multiple shifts in a round-the-clock environment.
• Utilize enterprise monitoring tools to supervise servers, applications, infrastructure components, and IT services.
• Conduct monitoring and operational activities employing IT360 and AppDynamics platforms.
• Monitor FIS/IST ATM switch applications, escalating urgent alerts as required.
• Manage backup procedures using the Legato Networker tool, ensuring backups complete successfully and troubleshooting failures.
• Address infrastructure and application incidents by executing initial troubleshooting and escalating system alerts to pertinent technical teams.
• Perform regular health checks on servers and IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with support teams to resolve operational issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate logs including operational records, incident documentation, shift handover notes, and monitoring reports.
• Adhere strictly to IT operations guidelines, escalation protocols, and service management processes.
• Promote ongoing availability and reliability of IT infrastructure and key applications.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Experience in IT Operations and Data Center environments.
• Proven ability to work effectively in 24x7 shift-based IT operational settings.
• Familiarity with IT360 and AppDynamics monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of FIS/IST ATM switch monitoring.
• Proficiency with Legato Networker backup solution including backup job monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong capabilities in server and infrastructure monitoring combined with incident management and escalation.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous exposure to IT operations within banking or financial services sectors is advantageous.
• Experience supporting ATM, switching, or payment infrastructures is a plus.
• Background working within Data Center or Network Operations Center (NOC) environments is preferred.
