About the Role
TaxOz is expanding its services into mortgage broking and paraplanning through BrokViser, creating new technology needs. We seek a proactive IT Manager to establish and maintain the technology infrastructure for these ventures. This role involves overseeing IT operations, enhancing security and system reliability, and translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. The position offers the chance to work closely with leadership and influence technology use across two growing companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee IT infrastructure components such as desktops, laptops, servers, LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage Microsoft 365 suite including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and control user access through Active Directory/Entra ID.
- Supervise network and endpoint security protocols including multi-factor authentication, VPN, remote desktop, patch management, and access controls.
- Maintain office IT hardware like CCTV and biometric systems.
- Handle IT asset lifecycle from procurement through secure disposal, including maintenance and upgrades.
- Support financial planning for IT resources including budgeting, licenses, warranties, and vendor relations.
- Implement and test backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans regularly.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security documentation.
- Manage IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Collaborate with Australian clients, their IT teams, internet service providers, and external vendors as necessary.
- Identify and implement opportunities for technology improvements, standardization, and workflow automation.
- Lead the IT support team, ensuring prompt issue resolution and escalation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or IT support.
- Hands-on expertise with hardware, networking, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, VPNs, remote desktop, networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls), and endpoint security.
- Experience managing Active Directory or Entra ID including user security administration.
- Proven skills in IT asset management, backup and disaster recovery, business continuity, and vendor management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities with a strong sense of ownership.
- Advantages include experience supporting multiple locations, remote teams, client environments, and backgrounds in KPO, BPO, accounting, financial or professional services.
- Certifications in Microsoft products, networking, IT service management, or cybersecurity are desirable.
