Job description
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Information Security Consultant located in Dubai with extensive expertise of over 8 years in information security. The ideal candidate will possess specialized skills in Fortra/Titus data classification solutions and have hands-on experience of 2+ years working with Fortra (previously known as Titus or Boldon James) or related data classification technologies like Purview.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data classification and information protection architecture leveraging Fortra/Titus solutions.
- Establish classification taxonomies, metadata frameworks, labeling protocols, and governance structures.
- Design integrations of Fortra/Titus systems with IAM platforms, Microsoft 365, DLP, and SIEM tools.
- Create comprehensive data protection roadmaps aligned with regulatory and business objectives.
- Draft solution designs, architecture schematics, and standards for implementation.
- Configure classification labels, user prompts, policy settings, and automate labeling where applicable.
- Set and maintain governance processes concerning the lifecycle management of classification labels.
- Conduct regular assessments of the appropriateness and compliance of classification methods.
- Implement data-centric security controls such as DLP, Rights Management, Encryption, and Information Protection.
- Analyze information handling processes to detect weaknesses and propose corrective actions.
- Provide expert guidance and training on classification frameworks and procedures to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8 years' overall experience in information security, including at least 2 years of practical experience with Fortra/Titus or comparable data classification solutions.
- Strong capabilities in designing data classification frameworks, information protection, metadata management, and data governance.
- Familiarity with enterprise security architecture and risk management principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance such as ISO 27001, SOC, GDPR, NIST, and DoD standards.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate security requirements and designs effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Desirable experience in defense or highly regulated environments, with understanding of ITAR and NATO compliance.
Preferred Certifications
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, ISO27001 (Implementation), and Fortra-specific certifications are advantageous.
Additional Information
The position requires immediate availability. Experience with information governance, data loss prevention, and regulatory compliance is critical. The role entails interacting closely with business and technical teams to uphold data security standards across the organization.
