Job description
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineering and Lean Improvement Manager with comprehensive expertise in logistics automated warehouse operations, process enhancement, and lean methodologies. In this crucial role, you will design and implement streamlined warehouse processes, lead automation project execution, and continuously improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Experience in international projects is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage planning, solution design, and delivery oversight of warehouse automation projects, ensuring timely, quality, and budget-compliant completion.
- Examine and refine warehouse operation workflows; create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs); promote adoption of standardized work practices across all business regions.
- Utilize Industrial Engineering techniques such as layout optimization, flow path analysis, time measurement, and capacity planning to boost process efficiency.
- Lead communication on functional requirements and support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) development to align technology with operational demands.
- Define and track critical key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, accuracy, inventory turnover, and space utilization for informed operational decision-making.
- Conduct training sessions on lean production principles, continuous improvement (Kaizen), and PDCA cycles to nurture a culture of ongoing enhancement within the organization.
- Assist in international business growth by delivering technical solution designs, maintaining client relations, and aiding project executions abroad.
- Work closely with cross-functional departments such as customer supply chain, IT, operations, and solutions teams to optimize the end-to-end logistics network.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Mechanical Automation, or related disciplines.
- Over 8 years of experience in warehouse operations, process optimization, or automation project management, including a minimum of 3 years in leadership roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse processes, with demonstrated expertise in WMS functional design and implementation support.
- Expertise in lean production, standard work techniques, continuous improvement, and application of Industrial Engineering methodologies, evidenced by a history of successful projects.
- Hands-on experience in planning and delivering warehouse automation projects such as Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), capable of independently designing solutions and engaging clients.
- Advanced data analysis capabilities using Excel, SQL, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for operational analytics and modeling.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and project management talent, able to thrive in a dynamic, multi-tasking, high-pressure environment.
- Fluent English language proficiency with preferred experience in supporting or executing overseas projects in regions including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, or the Americas.
- Highly developed logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.
