IT Operations Engineer

Role Overview

The IT Operations Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the daily operations of various business-critical systems including Lenovo industrial gateways, WES/WCS warehouse platforms, and AGV dispatch systems. This role entails collaboration with multiple OEM technical teams to diagnose and resolve cross-system integration issues, support upgrades and validations, and continuously enhance system functionality based on user feedback.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate multi-system software environments ensuring stable performance and quick troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with network and hardware teams to identify and resolve communication failures among software, servers, network devices, and automation equipment.
• Conduct routine health checks and log analysis for Windows and Linux servers, ensuring high availability and backup integrity for warehouse systems.
• Provide software support for end-user devices such as warehouse PCs, PDAs, and scanning terminals including deployment and configuration tasks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including system interfaces, version logs, troubleshooting records, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in on-site emergency standby rotations to respond promptly to production line software failures and coordinate cross-team resolutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Logistics Automation, Mechatronics, Network Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in WMS/WCS/WES, AGV dispatching, or industrial gateway system implementation and on-site operation and maintenance.
• Experience in automated production or international project sites is advantageous.
• Basic familiarity with server management, networking, and automation hardware.
• Capability to analyze interface logs and troubleshoot multi-system API and data exchange errors independently.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse execution and control system business logic.
• Practical skills in Windows and Linux systems operations including log checking and service management.
• Understanding of high availability concepts and backup procedures.
• Basic networking and automation hardware knowledge to support joint diagnostics.
• Competence in resolving software problems on terminal devices and deploying software to warehouse terminals.
• Proficient English communication skills to handle technical documents and liaise with overseas vendors.
