Industrial Electrician

Role Overview

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems and equipment, focusing specifically on recycling machinery and generators. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical components such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs, motor control units, and generator systems to support continuous production and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve electrical faults relating to recycling machines, generators, and connected equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues with variable frequency drives, soft starters, and motor control devices.
• Maintain and diagnose PLCs and HMIs that manage recycling machinery, excluding programming tasks.
• Service and repair sensors including proximity, temperature, and pressure types used for machine monitoring and control.
• Ensure seamless communication and integration between sensors and PLCs to maximize machine performance.
• Address generator electrical problems including control panel wiring, voltage stabilization, and synchronization processes.
• Assemble and wire control panels for generators, guaranteeing correct connections and system integration.
• Possess familiarity with DSE controllers to monitor and manage generator functions, including fault identification, load control, synchronization, and performance assessment.
• Keep detailed logs of routine inspections, maintenance tasks, and repair works on recycling machines and generators.

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in electrical technology or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience

• Between 3 and 6 years of relevant experience.
