Role Overview
The Immigration Associate position focuses on managing immigration requirements for client employees, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and providing excellent client service. The role involves working closely with clients, employees, legal teams, government bodies, and other stakeholders to coordinate and streamline immigration processes effectively. This position plays an essential role in handling complex immigration matters to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for corporate clients requiring immigration assistance.
- Understand each client's specific immigration needs and devise customized immigration strategies.
- Manage full-cycle immigration processes including visa applications and work permit handling.
- Prepare, review, and validate immigration petitions, forms, and supporting paperwork for compliance and accuracy.
- Interpret immigration regulations to ensure client adherence and prevent legal complications.
- Advise clients about immigration procedures, timelines, and risk factors.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized case files with secure document storage.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness by accurately tracking time, supporting billing efforts, and managing scope changes.
- Submit official immigration documents to relevant government agencies.
- Communicate clearly with clients, government officials, and internal colleagues to ensure smooth information flow.
- Coordinate with network offices, third-party providers, consulates, embassies, and immigration authorities to stay current on immigration regulations, track case progress, and resolve issues.
- Handle unexpected challenges in the immigration and implementation process professionally and efficiently.
- Provide clients with timely updates on case status and changes to immigration laws.
- Utilize diverse tools and methodologies to analyze trends within the business sector.
- Address client questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and courteously.
- Guide and train junior team members on immigration laws, case management, and application procedures.
- Keep abreast of relevant immigration legislation, policies, and regulations.
- Assist in implementing technology platforms related to the service line when required.
