Job Overview

The Client Growth Director role introduces a dedicated commercial function within the firm aimed at accelerating growth alongside senior partners. This is a true sales position responsible for closing deals and meeting quotas, while also enabling partners to secure opportunities. The role involves both direct revenue generation and sustaining a steady pipeline of prospects throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial activities including systematic prospecting, client development, and pipeline management to convert the firm's network into revenue.
  • Win new client relationships by mapping target markets that include multinational employers, private equity-backed portfolio companies, and fast-growing organizations within global mobility.
  • Maintain consistent outreach via LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and direct communication to generate qualified meetings for self or senior partners.
  • Rigorously qualify potential sales opportunities by understanding key pain points such as compliance risks, immigration inefficiencies, and M&A mobility challenges.
  • Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) processes and coordinate pitch logistics to support partner focus on content and client engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with senior partners to enable smooth transitions on complex deals and jointly develop targeted account plans.
  • Attend weekly pipeline reviews to update partners; act as the institutional memory by maintaining CRM discipline and ensuring no opportunities are lost.
  • Represent the firm at relevant industry and sector forums to build relationships and expand referral networks including relocation companies, HR tech providers, law firms, and search partners.
  • Support dissemination of partners' thought leadership content to relevant audiences timely.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses five to ten years’ experience in complex, multi-stakeholder B2B sales roles with demonstrated deal-closing success across long sales cycles and relationship-driven buying.
  • Background preferred in professional services related to relocation management, HR consulting, employment law, benefits advisory, ERP or HCM consulting, or similar; a deep understanding of sophisticated HR and financial buyer perspectives is vital.
  • Proven track record in winning new logos rather than solely expanding existing accounts.
  • Experienced working alongside senior professionals like partners or managing directors, adept at navigating professional services firm dynamics.

Desired Work Habits and Attributes

  • Consistent daily discipline in business development activities, maintaining systems and tracking results.
  • Well-developed professional network showing evidence of strong, trust-based relationships that generate business.
  • Proactive approach to value creation, regularly sharing insights, making introductions, and identifying opportunities.
  • A connector mindset, leveraging network relationships for mutual benefit within the firm and clients.
  • High emotional intelligence for managing partner relationships, favoring influence over authority.

Mindset and Motivation

  • Genuine curiosity about global mobility with a willingness to build knowledge in immigration, tax, compliance, and assignment management over 6-12 months.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and pioneering a new role with potential to shape the firm’s growth playbook.
  • Self-driven resilience and intrinsic motivation to persist through long sales cycles without needing external encouragement.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary aligned with senior professional services business development roles, supplemented by substantial bonus opportunities tied to origination success.
  • Collaborative credit system for origination, ensuring joint recognition for wins generated alongside partners.
  • Direct access to firm leadership and inclusion in strategic commercial discussions.
  • Comprehensive onboarding including client engagement shadowing, industry training, and mentorship from partners.
  • A meaningful opportunity to influence growth strategies in a rapidly evolving, complex market segment.

Additional Information

  • This position is a regular full-time role offered with a hybrid work arrangement in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
