About the Role
A distinguished financial organization is searching for a seasoned expert in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to spearhead the execution of their cybersecurity strategy. This leader will be instrumental in managing enterprise-wide identity governance, overseeing access control, authentication, authorization, and operating IAM systems to uphold strict compliance and security standards.
Primary Duties
- Formulate, enforce, and maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to IAM.
- Oversee the full user access lifecycle, including provisioning and deprovisioning activities.
- Administer core identity repositories, authentication mechanisms, authorization systems, and directory services.
- Address identity conflicts and duplicate accounts, ensuring effective access governance.
- Integrate newly acquired applications and platforms seamlessly into the enterprise IAM framework.
- Manage data synchronization and identity feeds across target systems.
- Operate Single Sign-On (SSO), federation, authentication, and authorization solutions effectively.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and auditing of user access to guarantee adherence to internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Investigate security incidents related to access and contribute to correctional measures.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed IAM controls within broader cybersecurity strategies.
- Perform continuous evaluation of emerging IAM technologies and best practices to advance the organization's security maturity.
- Analyze and document business and functional requirements for IAM.
- Design and refine workflow processes, controls, and procedures associated with identity management.
- Ensure IAM operations consistently meet security and operational mandates.
- Support initiatives aimed at raising employee awareness of IAM policies and procedures.
- Produce reports detailing management insights, compliance status updates, and progress for senior leadership review.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, IT, Business Management, or related fields.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in Information Security.
- At least 6 years accountable experience in Information Security or IAM-focused roles with ascending responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing enterprise IAM setups and identity governance programs.
- Robust expertise in authentication, authorization, access management, provisioning processes, and directory services.
- Technical proficiency in IAM components such as Active Directory, identity governance, SSO, federation frameworks, access review processes, compliance tracking, and security incident response.
- Hands-on experience with SailPoint IAM is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Privileged Access Management solutions like BeyondTrust PAM or Delinea/CyberArk is recognized, provided the fundamental PAM knowledge is solid.
- Well-versed in ISO 27001 standards, regional and international cybersecurity regulations, cloud security governance frameworks, and enterprise security best practices.
- Exhibits strong analytical capability, adept problem-solving, excellent stakeholder engagement, effective communication, sound judgment, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence all organizational levels.
