ICT & Building Technologies Engineer

Role Overview

Join our Christchurch team as an ICT and Security Engineer working on complex and high-profile building projects across New Zealand. Responsibilities

• Design and implement ICT and electronic security systems such as structured cabling, fibre optic networks, access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
• Prepare design documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Participate actively in project execution by coordinating activities, conducting site visits, and providing technical support throughout construction phases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of building technologies within wider project goals.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders to deliver positive project experiences.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement of tools, standards, and project delivery methods.

About You

We seek an intermediate-level engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience in ICT, building technologies, or electronic security, preferably gained within consultancy settings. You will possess a relevant tertiary qualification and practical experience in designing and delivering systems such as structured cabling, fibre networks, access control, or CCTV infrastructure.

You demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset focused on solutions, and a strong motivation for continuous learning. You take initiative, enjoy teamwork, and are keen to expand your technical expertise with support from experienced colleagues.
