IBM OpenPages Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IBM OpenPages Engineer with comprehensive expertise in the IBM OpenPages GRC platform versions 7.3 and above, particularly with hands-on experience in configuration, workflow design, triggers, JSP helpers, and application maintenance. The ideal candidate should possess advanced Java/J2EE proficiency, solid knowledge of Oracle and WebSphere Application Server (WAS), and familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Excellent communication skills and experience working within an Agile framework are essential.

Responsibilities

• Configure and modify IBM OpenPages versions 8.1 and 8.2, including workflows, triggers, JSP Helpers, task views, and underlying data objects.
• Collaborate with project teams, IT Application Support, front-end users, and IBM Solution Architects to improve and configure OpenPages workflows, particularly for enhancing the Model Risk Inventory system.
• Convert requirements from User Stories, Use Cases, and Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) into actionable development tasks.
• Engage with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Platform Architects to identify necessary changes and agree upon stories for development.
• Develop innovative and logical solutions to complex issues while exploring various options.
• Optimize automation within the team to minimize manual intervention throughout design, development, and operations lifecycle stages, including tool selections to maximize performance.
• Coordinate with Agile Leads to ensure smooth management of backlog and change activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5 to 10 years of experience working with IBM OpenPages platforms.
• In-depth understanding of Java/J2EE technologies.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong familiarity with Oracle databases and WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• Practical experience with IBM OpenPages GRC platform 7.3 or newer, focusing on configuration, workflows, triggers, JSP helpers, and application maintenance tasks.
• Proven ability to work within an Agile methodology environment.
• Strong technical acumen to contribute to the team’s design solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with task-focused user interfaces on OpenPages.
• Knowledge of Model Risk Governance (MRG) domain.
• Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience in batch job processing and shell scripting.
