Our Merthyr Tydfil facility combines beef and lamb processing and packaging, producing high-quality products sourced from local farmers and carefully selected by master butchers.

Role Overview

We are inviting applications for a full-time Hygiene Operative to join our approachable and motivated hygiene team. This permanent role runs on a rotating schedule of 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM shifts, working three days on and three days off, with an hourly pay rate of £12.90.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the factory while complying with health and safety protocols.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of machinery in preparation for production activities.
• Clean conveyor belts and perform manual sanitation of equipment frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings, and lighting fixtures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and materials safely as per training guidelines.
• Keep staff areas hygienic, including disinfecting toilets, washing floors, locker rooms, and corridors.
• Handle waste disposal duties and adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) regulations.
• Promptly report potential hazards or product, equipment, packaging, or material non-conformities to management.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team leaders regarding tasks and any issues.
