HVAC Technician

About the Role

Join The Luxury Collection as an HVAC Technician based in Doha, Qatar. This full-time, non-management position involves addressing repair requests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring efficient operation across various mechanical and electrical systems within the hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and communicate effectively with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication tasks.
• Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines, managing maintenance inventories and requesting supplies as necessary.
• Operate shut-off valves for equipment and utilities within the buildings.
• Maintain daily communication about activities and issues to incoming shifts using established protocols.
• Demonstrate or develop knowledge in diverse technical areas including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy conservation.
• Carry out surface preparations, painting, drywall repairs, wood trim fixes, light bulb and air conditioning filter replacements, along with thorough cleanup of work areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing systems, electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions and manage housekeeping and engineering-related inventories.
• Follow safety procedures, including use of Lockout/Tagout systems when performing maintenance tasks, and handle flammable materials appropriately.
• Perform landscaping repairs and maintenance for both interiors and exteriors, including sprinkler systems.
• Utilize basic computer skills to input air handler schedules and adjust temperatures.
• Uphold company policies on appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection while fostering positive guest and coworker interactions.
• Physically handle lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds alone, heavier items with assistance, and navigate various physical demands such as climbing stairs and bending.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance and painting for both interior and exterior surfaces.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.

This role is based onsite at Um Al Saneem Street, Zone 36, Street 827, Building 21, Doha, Qatar. The schedule is full-time and not remote.
