Role Overview

The HVAC Technician will be in charge of installing, operating, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel. The goal is to guarantee these systems function efficiently, safely, and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on air conditioning and ventilation units.
• Troubleshoot and fix HVAC components including split units, FCUs, AHUs, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Maintain correct temperature and humidity levels across the hotel premises.
• Inspect refrigerant levels, pressures, compressors, motors, filters, belts, coils, and other HVAC parts.
• Detect and repair refrigerant leaks as well as other system malfunctions.
• Clean and upkeep filters, coils, drain pans, ducts, and HVAC components.
• Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and breakdowns, especially within guest rooms and critical hotel zones.
• Perform routine maintenance checks for refrigeration units, including refrigerators, freezers, and cold rooms when applicable.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new HVAC equipment.
• Maintain detailed records on preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance metrics.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe storage of all tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team and other departments to reduce operation disruptions.
• Report significant equipment failures, recurring issues, and needed spare parts to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to hotel safety, environmental, and energy conservation protocols.
• Handle, store, and dispose of refrigerants and technical materials in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the work environment.
• Assist fellow Engineering team members with general maintenance tasks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering leadership.
