Hunting Team Lead

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Retail Manager (Hardlines), the Hunting Team Lead is responsible for managing daily operations within the Hunting department, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise department team members collaboratively with the manager.
• Effectively assign tasks by providing clear instructions and monitor completion.
• Support employee growth by training on standard operating procedures and processes.
• Ensure adherence to all standard procedures and process guidelines; offer guidance for corrections and report any violations to the manager.
• Handle administrative duties specific to the department.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by assessing customer needs and recommending suitable products.
• Promote company initiatives to both staff and customers.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, including signage, product facing, restocking, and cleaning sales areas.
• Address and resolve customer concerns logically within the scope of the role.
• Provide assistance in other store areas as required by business demands.

Qualifications

• Preferred minimum of two years’ supervisory experience in sales or service settings.
• Availability to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong ability to assess customer needs and make tailored recommendations.
• Committed to surpassing customer service expectations.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Background in related fields or outdoor lifestyle advantageous.
• Experience with Archery is a plus.
• Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s products is beneficial.
