Job description
Position Summary
The role involves managing incoming phone calls and documenting messages, establishing and maintaining organized filing systems, and managing applicant interview records. Responsibilities include processing employment applications, generating office correspondence via computer, auditing and coordinating paycheck distribution, and ensuring applicants receive documentation guidelines needed for employment verification forms. Additionally, the HR Officer creates personnel files for new employees, manages employee communication bulletin boards regarding employment events like recruitment and promotions, and posts legally required HR notices for employee visibility.
The candidate must comply with company safety and security policies, promptly report any workplace incidents or hazards to management, and maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality concerning sensitive company information. Support is also provided to colleagues to guarantee adequate coverage and quality guest service. The role requires effective communication skills, professionalism in telephone and written correspondence, and proficiency in using computer systems to access and manage work-related information. Physical requirements include the ability to handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Experience: Minimum of one year related work experience.
- Supervisory Background: None required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Not necessary.
