About the Role
We represent a rapidly expanding, highly specialised manufacturing company seeking to appoint an HR Director to spearhead the people strategy at a vital Irish site based in Portlaoise. This is a strategic leadership position at the site level, facilitating close collaboration with the Site General Manager and senior leadership team. The role is pivotal in defining organisational culture, boosting employee engagement, and enhancing leadership capabilities as the site advances its growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with site leaders to cultivate a culture focused on high performance.
- Develop and implement culture and engagement strategies, including conducting surveys and facilitating action plans.
- Lead leadership development programs and provide coaching for managers.
- Manage employee relations by handling complex issues and ensuring equitable and consistent practices.
- Support and integrate change management initiatives in alignment with global programs.
- Function as the strategic People & Culture lead on site, supervising one direct report who handles routine HR operations.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in strategic HR or People & Culture leadership within manufacturing or operational settings.
- Proven success in driving culture transformation, increasing engagement, and developing leadership capabilities.
- Adept at managing employee relations and influencing senior leadership effectively.
- Comfortable providing counsel and challenging senior stakeholders with authority and confidence.
- Experienced in executing change management within multinational organisations.
- Highly self-reliant with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
