Job description
About the Company
We are seeking a Saudi HR Business Partner who partners closely with the Facilities Management (FM) business to go beyond routine HR tasks by deeply understanding the needs of teams and enabling managers to achieve high performance. This role involves working directly with department heads on recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and addressing daily people challenges that lack straightforward policy answers.
About the Role
The HR Business Partner will collaborate with assigned business units to comprehend their objectives, workforce planning, and team dynamics, enabling early problem identification and resolution before escalation.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues, from coaching discussions to formal documentation, ensuring fairness and consistency.
- Lead or assist recruitment activities by collaborating with hiring managers to develop precise job descriptions and improve hiring decisions.
- Manage employee relations matters including grievances, conflicts, and investigations, and escalate to legal or senior HR when necessary.
- Analyze people-related data such as turnover, engagement, and absenteeism to detect trends and preempt challenges.
- Support activities related to compensation reviews, promotions, and organizational changes, including ensuring accurate documentation and system updates.
- Coach managers on effective management practices and ensuring delegated actions comply with policy.
- Maintain awareness of compliance and risk without overemphasizing legal constraints in everyday interactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR generalist or HR Business Partner, preferably supporting specific client groups rather than solely shared-services functions.
- Strong understanding of employment law basics.
- Confidence in making sound judgment calls.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and situational awareness, with a focus on conversational problem solving rather than paperwork.
- Experience using HR Information Systems and proficiency with spreadsheet-based reporting.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; possession of CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent certification is advantageous but not mandatory given sufficient experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous involvement in supporting a fast-growing or reorganizing business unit.
- Experience in organizational design or workforce planning.
- Proven ability to challenge management constructively when necessary.
- Experience leading a small team of 2 to 4 members.
