Job Overview

Wood is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to join their team supporting projects in Saudi Arabia. Initially, the role may be office-based in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail before transitioning to site assignments on an 8/2 work rotation. The position supports the development and construction phases of a gold mining and processing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers strategically on all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) matters.
  • Implement group-wide HSE annual goals and develop company-specific HSE objectives.
  • Assist business unit and project managers, along with HSE advisors, in rolling out group HSE initiatives.
  • Support leadership in conducting thorough incident and accident investigations using recognized methods such as Helix or Taproot.
  • Monitor industry best practices and introduce innovative HSE initiatives tailored to business needs.
  • Conduct management support visits across installations and work sites.
  • Help senior management and HSE advisors report both leading and lagging HSE indicators promptly.
  • Review incident and accident trends to provide recommendations to senior and corporate management.
  • Mentor and train junior HSE staff and new graduates joining the team.
  • Provide cross-business unit HSE support as needed.
  • Lead HSE inductions for new employees and create relevant presentation materials to support training and initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in a technical or HSE-related role, ideally in oil & gas or similar industries.
  • Proven experience as a lead or senior HSE advisor managing projects and contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable HSE legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills.
