Job Overview
The role requires proactive involvement in establishing and supporting the implementation of both the corporate Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System and project-specific HSE plans at the site level.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site management in the roll-out and adherence of the company’s HSE Management System along with project-related HSE protocols.
- Perform comprehensive HSE inspections covering work methods, personnel, machinery, materials, plants, equipment, and tools.
- Enhance safety culture by delivering HSE awareness sessions known as Pep Talks.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and propose suitable corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide advice and coordinate the enforcement of Work Permit Systems to ensure procedural compliance.
- Inspect personal protective equipment (PPE) to certify complete usage compliance across all workers.
- Report regularly to the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management team regarding HSE conditions and promotional initiatives on-site.
- Organize health screenings and conduct HSE induction programs for new workers.
- Oversee the administration and application of first aid measures at the site.
- Coordinate fire safety drills, handle procurement, inspection, and maintenance schedules of fire extinguishers.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must hold certifications in ADIS (Assistant Director Industrial Safety) or PDIS (Personal Diploma in Industrial Safety), along with the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) in occupational health and safety.
