Job Overview

Team Global Express is inviting applications for a permanent full-time HR Truck Driver position based in Singleton, NSW. The role involves local pickups and deliveries within Singleton and neighboring areas using tautliner and tailgate trucks. This position operates Monday through Friday starting at 7:00am, requiring punctuality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute local freight pickups and deliveries within Singleton and surrounding regions.
• Operate HR tautliner and tailgate trucks in a safe and professional manner.
• Load and unload freight at customer and depot locations using tailgate equipment when necessary.
• Ensure all freight is securely fastened in compliance with load restraint regulations.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Verify and manage freight and delivery documentation accurately.
• Utilize scanning devices and complete delivery records as required.
• Organize and manage daily delivery routes efficiently.
• Maintain courteous and professional interactions with customers.
• Communicate promptly with Operations about any delays, issues, or specific customer needs.
• Adhere strictly to Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and safety standards.
• Report hazards, incidents, and safety concerns immediately.
• Assist with general operational tasks when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a current HR Driver Licence is mandatory.
• Previous experience driving commercial HR trucks locally.
• Proficiency in handling tautliner and/or tailgate trucks is advantageous.
• Experience in local pickup and delivery or general freight transportation.
• Sound knowledge of load restraint and safe freight handling procedures.
• Capability to perform manual handling safely as part of daily duties.
• Strong commitment to road safety and workplace safety protocols.
• Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently.
• Good attendance record and punctuality.
• Familiarity with Singleton and surrounding localities is preferred.
• Full Australian work rights are required.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday with an approximate start time of 7:00am. Flexibility may be required based on daily freight volumes and operational demands.
