About the Role
Join our energetic team based in Port Hedland as a licensed HR driver, responsible for operating various waste collection vehicles as part of a critical community service. You'll be trained extensively and supported in a friendly environment focused on your development and career growth. The position is residential to Port Hedland, with housing allowance or company accommodation available for candidates with relevant waste handling experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate HR licensed vehicles on secure, long-term waste collection contracts.
- Transport waste streams efficiently and safely to designated disposal sites.
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Learn to handle diverse fleet vehicles and associated equipment.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety at all times.
Requirements
- Possession of a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle driving licence is mandatory.
- Previous experience driving HR vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Port Hedland geographical area is important.
- Safety awareness is essential for the role.
- Prior experience in the waste management sector is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and medical examination specific to the role.
