Job description
Overview
The position is for an HR Generalist based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for supporting various human resources functions within the organization. The role operates within a non-management capacity and requires thorough handling of employee records, communication with employees and management, and maintaining office systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and organize filing systems including creation of personnel files for new employees.
- Prepare and type office correspondence using computer systems.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail distributions and route appropriately.
- Track and order HR office supplies and forms as needed.
- Handle phone inquiries and record messages professionally.
- Assist walk-in candidates with application procedures ensuring the designated application space is accessible and well-maintained.
- Respond to inquiries and concerns from employees and management regarding HR programs, policies, and guidelines.
- Report employee relations concerns to HR management.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property information, including interview documents and verification forms like I-9s.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including maintaining professional appearance and conduct.
- Report workplace accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management promptly.
- Greet and acknowledge all guests in line with company standards.
- Demonstrate clear and professional communication both verbally and in writing.
- Foster positive working relationships and support team objectives.
- Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
- Operate computer and point-of-sale systems for work-related data management.
- Perform physical tasks involving moving objects up to 10 pounds as needed.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of related work experience in human resources or administrative support.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
