About the Role
Based in Nakasi, Fiji, the HR Administrator operates under the People Experience Manager Pacific Islands and plays a vital role in delivering precise, efficient, and customer-centric People & Culture services across Essity Pacific. This position ensures accuracy in employee and payroll data management, supports the entire employee lifecycle administration, and provides prompt assistance and guidance to employees and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to payroll procedures, system protocols, and relevant legal requirements.
- Accurately process payroll within set deadlines.
- Manage employee onboarding through HRIS, payroll, and employee self-service platforms.
- Prepare and manage various types of employment contracts including temporary, fixed-term, and casual agreements.
- Handle contract modifications, renewals, extensions, and terminations promptly.
- Serve as the primary contact for general People & Culture inquiries.
- Promptly address employee queries and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Maintain employee records complying with organizational policies, legislation, and privacy standards.
- Promote and adhere to safe work practices supporting Essity’s safety commitments.
- Conduct regular audits to keep employee files accurate, comprehensive, and compliant.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in HR Administration, Payroll Administration, or a comparable People & Culture role.
- Demonstrated experience using PayGlobal or similar payroll systems.
- Background in manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Good understanding of employment law, payroll processes, HR administration, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
