Clinical Development Specialist - Lymphoedema & Compression

Position Summary

We are seeking a clinical expert in lymphoedema management to join our Health & Medical team at Essity on an extended leave cover contract, ideally starting November 2026 and running through the end of 2027. This role offers the chance to enhance patient outcomes by leveraging your expertise while developing strong clinical partnerships across New Zealand. The position is flexible to either full-time or a 4-day workweek arrangement.

Located in any major New Zealand city, this position involves frequent travel countrywide, so proximity to a major airport is essential.

Role and Responsibilities

• Safeguard and expand Essity’s lymphoedema, compression, and advanced wound care business nationally.
• Serve as the company’s clinical and commercial authority in lymphoedema management and compression therapy.
• Establish and nurture relationships with specialists, clinicians, nurses, and healthcare providers across New Zealand.
• Provide clinical education and training that fosters best practices in patient assessment and management.
• Collaborate with customers to identify optimal solutions improving patient outcomes.
• Drive Essity’s growth in lymphoedema services through customer engagement, education, and focused business development efforts.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs and business targets.
• Utilize CRM tools and business analytics to effectively manage region-specific opportunities and growth.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds clinical qualifications in physiotherapy, nursing, occupational therapy, or related health disciplines, with demonstrable experience in lymphoedema assessment and management. A strong grasp of compression therapy applications within lymphoedema care is vital. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills are required, alongside commercial insight and experience in healthcare education or sales is preferable.

• Clinically credible with relevant qualifications and experience in allied health disciplines.
• Well-versed in lymphoedema management and compression therapy practices.
• Competent at engaging specialist clinicians and healthcare professionals confidently.
• Experienced in delivering clinical training and education to healthcare audiences.
• Commercially aware with abilities to identify and cultivate business growth opportunities.
• Familiar with CRM systems and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Holds a current driver’s license and willing to travel extensively across New Zealand.
