Overview
This position is based in the Asset Area 13 - Hospitality District, New Delhi, and involves comprehensive oversight of housekeeping operations to uphold the highest quality standards in guest rooms and public spaces at a luxury hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pools post-cleaning to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.
- Generate and review sold room reports; verify room statuses and identify rooms needing attention.
- Prioritize and update room cleaning status, especially for guest departures.
- Support housekeeping management with daily operational tasks, including coordinating efforts with engineering, front office, and laundry departments.
- Document and resolve discrepancies in room status and communicate these with the front desk and subsequent shifts.
- Assist in managing employee lifecycle activities such as hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, disciplinary actions, motivation, and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security policies, reporting hazards and completing requisite safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; safeguard company property.
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, anticipating needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication and foster positive relationships with colleagues.
- Physical demands include moving and lifting objects up to 55 pounds unaided, handling housekeeping carts, and performing repetitive physical motions such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Operate computers and point-of-sale systems to input and verify work-related information and documentation.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Educational attainment of at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in housekeeping.
- At least one year of prior supervisory experience preferred.
- No specific licenses or certifications are mandatory.
