Housekeeping Coordinator

Overview

The Housekeeping Coordinator role involves monitoring hotel room status, managing cleaning priorities, and coordinating communications across departments to ensure excellent guest room preparation and overall hotel cleanliness standards. This position is based in Singapore at JW Marriott, working onsite in a full-time, non-management capacity.

Core Duties

• Run reports on sold rooms and verify current room statuses to identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning.
• Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments to maintain smooth hotel operations.
• Document any room issues in collaboration with the Front Desk and assign rooms accordingly.
• Prepare and distribute room assignments to housekeeping personnel and keep track of 'Do Not Disturb' room lists.
• Ensure all vacant dirty rooms are cleaned promptly, handle rush room requests, and manage rooms taken off the ‘Do Not Disturb’ list.
• Complete and maintain all required housekeeping documentation accurately.

• Abide by all company safety and security policies, report hazards, and complete mandatory safety training.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive company information.
• Promote a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests warmly and addressing their service needs proactively.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals and respond thoughtfully to colleagues’ concerns.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both spoken and written forms.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended durations.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 pounds unaided.
