About the Opportunity
The Housekeeping Assistant role is designed to help create a secure, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere for residents by ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of allocated spaces within our Aged Care facilities at exemplary standards.
The position requires collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to support resident satisfaction and efficient housekeeping service delivery.
Various permanent part-time and casual roles are available across five Anglican Care locations in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and the Central Coast.

Role Responsibilities
- Maintain high cleanliness standards across all facility areas according to established cleaning and infection control manuals.
- Engage with residents, families, and visitors to support their needs in a respectful and helpful manner.
- Safely handle and operate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry duties based on shift schedules.
- Communicate clearly with coworkers to promote teamwork and fulfill role objectives.
- Adhere strictly to Work Health and Safety protocols throughout all activities.
- Coordinate with the Cleaning Team Leader to ensure professional and timely housekeeping services.
- Empathetically communicate with residents and relatives to meet their expectations and requirements.
- Consult with relevant stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure quality service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards at all times.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in housekeeping roles.
- Proficient in effective written and oral communication.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exemplary customer service orientation.
- Possession of a current driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Valid NDIS Check clearance.
- National Police Check with consideration of any relevant findings.
