About the Role

Join Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital as a Housekeeper/Domestic Assistant focusing on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for hospital patients. This permanent, full-time position involves utilizing the latest cleaning equipment and products, supported by excellent training opportunities to prepare and clean various hospital areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient care by organizing and planning cleaning duties to ensure they do not interfere with patient experiences.
• Maintain friendly and effective communication with colleagues and patients to support teamwork and a positive atmosphere.
• Perform diverse cleaning tasks including room sanitation, waste disposal, linen collection, and deep cleaning procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Infection Prevention team by reporting any incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrate a caring attitude toward patients and excellent organizational skills.
• Exhibit motivation, friendliness, flexibility, and preferably prior experience in a housekeeping or similar role.
• Adhere strictly to established cleaning protocols to ensure locations are safe, clean, and pleasant.
