Role Summary
The Housekeeper role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and order in staff areas within the facility. Responsibilities include garbage disposal in lunch and break rooms, laundering work frocks used on the plant floor, inventory management of cleaning supplies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
Work Schedule and Compensation
The shift runs from 5 PM to 5 AM on Fridays through Sundays, with hourly pay set at $16 plus a $1 per hour shift differential.
Key Duties
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
- Operate floor scrubbing machinery.
- Manage clothes washer and dryer operations for plant frocks.
- Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Clean floors, walls, windows, lunchrooms, and restrooms thoroughly and systematically.
- Properly fold and organize cleaned frocks.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is operational before use.
- Adhere to production schedules, meeting set goals.
- Confirm that products comply with quality and labeling specifications.
- Monitor workflow to optimize machine efficiency.
- Keep detailed records of production and material consumption.
- Propose quality improvements and support ongoing enhancements.
- Adapt to task changes as directed by supervisors.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Organize and prioritize work tasks in a multitasking environment.
- Read, write legibly, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Safety and PPE Compliance
- Observe and report unsafe behavior.
- Follow OSHA standards rigorously.
- Wear required personal protective equipment including earplugs, hairnets, beard nets, protective eyewear, and slip-resistant shoes.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred with prior housekeeping experience, particularly within industrial or plant settings.
Compensation Details
Starting pay ranges from $13.50 to $18.57 per hour, influenced by market conditions, experience, and other factors. The compensation package may also include performance incentives, medical/dental/vision benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k options, paid holidays, and paid time off.
Physical and Work Environment Demands
The job involves standing, walking, hand use, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Visual ability for close work is required. The work environment includes a plant/office setting with variable noise and temperature, exposure to manufacturing equipment, and wet/slippery flooring. Some travel might be necessary.
