Host/Hostess - The Singapore EDITION

Position Summary

As a Host/Hostess at The Singapore EDITION, you will warmly welcome guests, ascertain their party size, and seat them at clean available tables. You will assist guests by guiding them through dining spaces, arranging seating and settings especially for groups with special needs, and ensuring proper place settings including napkins, silverware, and menus. Maintaining neat and current menus, monitoring dining room availability, guest safety, and well-being are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and seat them appropriately with attention to special requirements.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout the day.
• Manage table settings and ensure menus are tidy and accessible.
• Observe dining room activity to guarantee prompt seating, service quality, and guest safety.
• Follow company rules regarding safety, report incidents, and complete necessary safety trainings.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance and protect company confidentiality and assets.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members, including telephone etiquette.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to help achieve team objectives.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior work experience or supervisory background required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
