Position Overview

The Bellman at The Singapore EDITION plays a vital role in welcoming and assisting guests throughout their stay. This position involves escorting guests to their rooms, managing luggage transportation, and providing comprehensive information about property amenities and local attractions. A high level of guest service and professionalism is essential to ensure an exceptional hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and accompany guests to their rooms, opening doors and assisting with entry and exit from the property.
• Inform guests about the hotel's amenities, operating hours, local activities, and facilities such as the mini-bar, in-room safe, and valet laundry services.
• Handle the transportation of guests' luggage to and from their rooms or designated bell areas, including storage and retrieval.
• Assist guests and visitors with vehicle loading/unloading and provide directions as needed.
• Arrange transportation services like taxis, shuttle buses, and limousines, recording advance requests appropriately.
• Communicate parking procedures and maintain awareness of safety and security issues on the premises.
• Adhere to all company policies, report incidents, maintain confidentiality, and uphold a professional appearance.
• Engage positively with guests, anticipate their needs including support for individuals with disabilities, and consistently provide warm, genuine service.
• Communicate clearly both in person and over the phone using professional language and etiquette.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Carry out physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting objects up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance, navigating various surfaces, bending, stooping, and reaching as required during the shift.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior related work or supervisory experience is required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
