Role Purpose

Joining as a Hostess means being the welcoming and lasting impression for guests during their dining experience. The role involves greeting guests warmly, managing reservations efficiently, and facilitating a smooth service flow in the restaurant. All tasks are performed in alignment with the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International's luxury hospitality standards.

Key Duties

• Offer a courteous and professional welcome to guests, ideally addressing them by name.
• Efficiently handle bookings and manage seating arrangements to optimize dining room capacity.
• Guide guests to their tables and provide menus promptly.
• Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate wait times clearly during busy periods.
• Work closely with service and kitchen teams to ensure seamless table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Respond to guest inquiries, including special requests such as VIP arrangements, celebrations, and dietary restrictions.
• Keep the dining environment clean, comfortable, and ready for service at all times.
• Answer phone calls and manage reservations professionally and swiftly.
• Adhere strictly to Marriott and Ritz-Carlton service standards and brand values.
• Resolve guest concerns tactfully or escalate appropriately to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist the Food & Beverage team in delivering exceptional and tailored dining experiences.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in luxury hotels or fine dining establishments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Marriott systems or reservation platforms is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around for prolonged time periods during shifts.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to maintaining high hygiene and grooming standards.
• Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds unaided, with assistance for weights up to 50 pounds.
