Job Overview

The position requires greeting guests warmly upon arrival and ascertaining the size of their party. You will be responsible for seating guests by locating a clean table, arranging chairs, and placing menus. Providing assistance as needed while guiding guests through dining areas is essential. Arranging tables and settings to accommodate special group needs while ensuring all place settings have clean silverware and napkins is expected.

Work Area Maintenance

Maintaining cleanliness in work areas at all times by employing clean-as-you-go techniques and ensuring menus are tidy, plentiful, and up-to-date is required. Monitoring dining room seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being is part of daily duties.

Company Policies and Professional Conduct

Following all company policies, including safety and security protocols, reporting incidents and unsafe conditions to management, and completing required safety training is crucial. Personal appearance should be neat and professional, confidentiality must be maintained, and company assets protected. Effective communication, telephone etiquette, and a welcoming demeanor consistent with company standards are mandatory.

Teamwork and Additional Responsibilities

You will foster positive working relationships, contribute to common team goals, and appropriately listen and respond to employee concerns. Adhering to quality standards and performing other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors are part of the role. Physical demands include extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, and handling objects up to 10 pounds without help.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required.

Experience: No prior related work or supervisory experience is necessary.

Licenses/Certifications: None required.
